Alpha communication standards

SMS, voice, and consent

The managed alpha sends only phone-verification codes requested by an account holder. These are the rules for scheduled SMS and voice delivery before those features are enabled.

Scheduled delivery disabled

Phone verification now

A signed-in tester may request a one-time Twilio code to verify a phone number they own or control. A verification code does not enroll that number in recurring check-ins and does not establish consent for circle-contact notifications.

Consent comes first

The account holder must explicitly choose and consent to recurring check-ins. Each circle member receives a separate, one-to-one invitation and must reply YES to accept before receiving a courtesy notice. SureCheck does not create group conversations or reveal circle members to one another.

Planned frequency

A plan may run daily or every two days. Each occurrence allows one scheduled check-in plus up to four retries, spaced five minutes apart. If none is acknowledged, each consented circle member may receive one individual courtesy notice for that missed cycle.

Message controls

YESAccept a circle invitation.

OKAcknowledge an active SMS check-in.

STOPOpt out of future automated texts immediately.

HELPReceive service identity and support information.

A revoked or unconfirmed contact is excluded from future notices. Resuming after an opt-out requires a new affirmative consent event.

Sample SMS messages

SureCheck: Maya, check in for Juniper. Reply OK or use your portal. Courtesy only; not an emergency service. STOP to opt out. HELP for help.
Maya invited you to SureCheck alerts after missed check-ins. Not emergency monitoring. Reply YES to accept, STOP to decline. HELP for help.
SureCheck: Maya missed all check-in attempts. Please contact Maya. Courtesy only; not an emergency alert. STOP to opt out. HELP for help.

Automated voice calls

Voice check-ins will be automated or AI-assisted voice calls. The opening identifies SureCheck and the automated nature of the call, then asks for a narrow spoken acknowledgment. Silence, voicemail, unclear speech, or a disconnected call does not count as a successful check-in.

Courtesy service, not emergency response

SureCheck does not monitor a person, determine whether someone is safe, dispatch responders, or contact emergency services. Anyone who needs urgent help should contact local emergency services or a trusted person directly.
